Loebsack is among most bipartisan representatives

To the editor:

I’m proud to be voting for one of the most bipartisan Representatives out there this election — Dave Loebsack. A lot of people — including his opponent - say they will work with people from the other political party — but how many actually do? Sadly, the answer is very few.

Dave Loebsack is the exception. He has reached across the aisle over and over to actually get things done. Rather than grabbing headlines or slinging partisan mud on cable news, he has partnered with Sen. Grassley to cut taxes for flood victims; Congressman Schilling to create jobs in the Quad Cities; and Gov. Branstad to fight for our National Guard.

His opponent, on the other hand, has called President Obama a tyrant and has repeatedly lied about Dave’s record. How can he claim he would actually be effective at working across the aisle and getting things done when he makes claims like that?

Dave has fought for Iowans for years and always puts the people he represents first. We need more people like him representing us.
