Kelley supported for his work to provide accessibility

To the editor:

As the Chairman of the board for the Library Consumer Advisory committee for the Iowa Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, I feel compelled to write this letter to the residents of Jasper County on behalf of Representative Dan Kelley.

During the last legislative session I contacted Rep. Kelley in hopes of gaining his support in introducing a Resolution concerning the recognition of National Library week. Rep. Kelley graciously   accepted my invitation and introduced Resolution HR-119 on behalf of the Iowa Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

As the election approaches, I feel it is important to address the availability of Rep. Kelley to his constituents. Rep. Kelley was, and continues to be, willing to do what he can to advocate for those he represents. Rep. Kelley responded to my invitation immediately and kept me informed of any progress concerning the passing of the resolution.

Although HR-119 did not come to fruition (due to a lack of Republican support) Rep. Kelley did everything he could to support this effort.

We often ask ourselves, what exactly do our representatives do for us. This is just one example of the work Rep. Kelley has done for those he represents. As you exercise your right to vote on Tuesday I encourage you to vote Kelley for State Representative.
