Colfax police chief endorses Halferty
To the editor:
I write to lend my support for John Halferty for Sheriff. I have had the opportunity to work with John in his capacity as Chief Deputy of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. I have found John to be a man of great integrity and leadership. During the recent floods in Colfax, John spent numerous hours assisting our community whenever needed throughout the disaster.
John has been an integral part of our community. He volunteers in his church, the Jasper County Fairgrounds, the Mingo Fire Department and is an assistant coach for our own Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawk football team.
John’s professionalism, strong work ethic, integrity and leadership make him the best-qualified choice for the next Sheriff of Jasper County.
