After 10 years, the annual Newton Bridal Fair will have a new sponsor and venue in 2013.
Iowa Speedway officials announced Wednesday it had taken over sponsorship and hosting of the annual event. Planning for the 11th Annual Newton Bridal Fair is already underway; it is currently planned for 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the track’s upscale Newton Club.
Each winter, the Newton Bridal Fair features a wide variety of wedding vendors and consultants. It is meant to offer a one-stop shopping opportunity for prospective brides and grooms.
“This is an event for both brides and grooms, along with bridesmaids, mothers, mothers-in-law and other family members,” Iowa Speedway sales coordinator Sabrina White said. “Wedding vendors from around central Iowa will be showcasing their products and services, and will be available to visit with brides- and grooms-to-be who are in the planning process for spring, summer and fall weddings next year.”
Originally hosted by the Newton Convention & Visitors Bureau, the upcoming Newton Bridal Fair will be produced by the track’s marketing team. Those who wish to receive regular updates about the event may email the track at info@iowaspeedway.com and request placement on a Newton Bridal Fair mailing list.
“I would encourage everybody in central Iowa who has a wedding planned for 2013 to attend this outstanding bridal fair,” White added. “We are delighted to be producing this show at Iowa Speedway in Newton, and look forward to a very successful event on Jan. 27.”
Admission to the Newton Bridal Fair will remain free for all who wish to attend.
