Ruth Kling, 91, of Ankeny passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Ankeny Funeral Home 1510 W. First St., Ankeny, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home.

Edna Ruth Kling was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Delta, Iowa, to John Clayton and Jennie (Hamilton) Cook. She grew up in Jasper County and graduated from Newton High School in 1938. On August 14, 1945, Ruth was united in marriage to John Philip Kling in Newton, Iowa. The couple was blessed with six children.
