• Darren S. Lehrkamp, 19, of Newton was charged with interference with official acts and public intoxication after officers observed three males at 10:57 p.m. Friday Newton Senior High School. When approached, Lehrkamp ran away, but was later located. He had an odor of alcohol and bloodshot eyes and registered a blood alcohol level of .232. Lehrkamp also was wanted on an Adel police warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
