Lois Geraldine Parsons, 97, of Unionville, Mo., passed away on Oct. 16, 2012, at the Nelson Manor in Newton, Iowa, where she had been a resident for four  years.  

Lois Parsons was born on May 3, 1912, near Powersville, Mo. She was the daughter of William Andrew Harbert and Lucy Lillian (Clapper) Harbert. Lois graduated from Unionville High School in 1933 then married Clemen Clyde Parsons on Sept. 18, 1940. Clemen preceded her in death on May 2, 2007. With the exception of the last 4  years, Lois had lived her entire life in Putnam County. She was a homemaker who derived great joy from her family and was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Unionville, Mo.  

Lois Parsons is survived by a son, Dr. Gary Parsons and wife Kay of Newton, Iowa, and a daughter, Ronda Trainor and husband Patrick of Bettendorf, Iowa.
