Newton FFA competes in soils event

On Sept. 18, a group of the Newton FFA juniors competed in the South Central District soils career development event in Knoxville. Students evaluated soil profiles on suitability for agriculture and construction uses. Team members were Taylor Graff, Lizzie Stock, Koby Hull, Connor Claypool and John Miller. The team received ninth place and a Gold Ranking.
