Iowa State ranked in first BCS standings

AMES (ISU) — Iowa State is ranked 24th on the first 2012 Bowl Championship Series Standings released Sunday. The Cyclones are one of six Big 12 Conference teams in the first BCS ratings. Iowa State will battle Oklahoma State Saturday at 11 a.m. in Stillwater, Okla. The game will be televised nationally on FX.
The BCS standings are determined by a compilation of the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Harris Interactive Poll and a composite of computer ratings.
