Lynnville-Sully may only have brought four girls to the South Iowa Cedar League conference meet Thursday, but it surely made the most of it.

The Hawks had three of the top six female finishers — including conference champion Cori Rice — in the meet that was held at English Valleys.

Rice, a sophomore, won in 17 minutes, 27 seconds. Junior Tara Vos wasn’t far behind, taking third in 17:33, while junior Karli Roozeboom placed sixth in 18:18 and freshman Madison Rasmusson took 25th in 21:31.

On the boys’ side, freshman Canyon Kuhlmann led Lynnville-Sully with an 11th-place finish in 19:54. Senior Dave Trettin took 12th in 20:11, sophomore Ben Trettin was 16th in 20:27, junior Talon Woods was 25th in 21:56 and sophomore Connor Fraker was the fifth scoring runner at 26th in 21:58.
