L-S volleyball finishes regular season with sweep of Tri-County

The Lynnville-Sully volleyball team finished off its regular season schedule on a good note Thursday night, earning a dominant win over Tri-County Thursday night in Sully.

The Hawks (13-11, 7-3 South Iowa Cedar League) won by scores of 25-8, 25-10 and 25-16 — finishing third place in the 11-team conference.

Senior Kelsey Beyer had 13 kills, six digs and was 13-of-13 serving with seven aces. Junior Jade Van Rees had 30 assists, 13 digs and was 10-of-10 serving with an ace. Senior Stacey Sparks had 15 digs, freshman Shelby Foster had six kills and eight digs while senior Kelly Sevcik went 12-of-12 serving with seven aces and had two digs.
