Hawks look to keep rolling vs. North Mahaska
The Lynnville-Sully football team may have gotten off to a rocky start this season, but the Hawks have been running full-steam ahead lately.
After a 1-2 start, the Hawks (4-2, 3-1 Class A District 6) have outscored their past three opponents by a combined 144-7, including blowout wins of 61-0 and 70-0 over winless Southeast Warren and Pleasantville the last two weeks.
That gives Lynnville-Sully a ton of momentum heading into tonight's home matchup vs. North Mahaska (1-6, 1-3). With a win, the Hawks would essentially clinch a playoff berth and keep its district title hopes alive. Their only losses this season were a 40-19 non-district game against 1A No. 11 Pella Christian and a 34-27 loss to No. 5 Pekin (6-0, 5-0). They've dominated ever since.
