Mustang volleyball snaps skid with sweep of Saydel

The Prairie City-Monroe volleyball team ended a three-match losing streak on Tuesday, and also kept its Heart of Iowa Conference record even in the process.

Behind a double-double by senior Alex Samson, the Mustangs (6-11, 3-3) earned a 3-0 home sweep of Saydel with just three regular-season matches and a tournament remaining on the schedule.

Samson recorded 10 kills and 11 assists to lead the Mustangs to the victory, adding four digs, four blocks and a perfect 16-for-16 serving night.
