Newton grad named General Manager of Bobcat company

Berry Companies Inc. has named Angela Claney General Manager of KC Bobcat. Claney joins KC Bobcat from the North Texas Division of Berry Companies Inc. She replaces Steve Meadows, who has accepted the position of Vice President of Bobcat Operations.

Claney has more than 11 years of experience in construction equipment distribution, previously holding the position of Operations Manager for the North Texas Division and Organization Development Manager for Berry Companies. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., with a bachelor of science in honors sociology and anthropology in 1999, and she earned a master of science in organization development from Friends University in Wichita, Kan., in 2005. She is a 1995 graduate of Newton Senior High School in Newton.

Founded in 1974, KC Bobcat is a full line dealer for Bobcat Company — the leading provider of compact equipment for construction, rental, landscaping, agriculture, grounds maintenance, government, utility, industrial and mining markets. They also represent the Bandit line of chippers and stump grinders. Headquartered in Blue Springs, Mo., this division has branches in Platte City, Mo., and Olathe, Kan., and an annual revenue of $20 million.
