Megan and Nick Carver of Newton announce the birth of their son, Hazen James Carver, on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Hazen has one sibling, Jerzi Rain Crady, 22 months.

Grandparents are Cindi and Kevin Crady and Jana and Clark Hettinga, all of Newton, and Jeff Carver of Sigourney.

Great-grandparents are Iva and John Powell of Sholow, Ariz., Larry and Karen Crady of Oakland Acres, Janet Funk of Newton and Connie Craver of Sigourney.

Great-great-grandparent is Cliff Daubenmire of Newton.
