2013 Iowa Corn Indy 250 moves to Sunday, June 23

Officials at Iowa Speedway announced that the 2013 edition of the Iowa Corn Indy 250 will move from Saturday night, June 22 to Sunday afternoon, June 23, and will be broadcast live on the ABC television network.

“We’re thrilled to be back on ABC for our seventh annual Iowa Corn Indy 250,” said Stan Clement, president of Iowa Speedway. “That will give maximum exposure to our partners at Iowa Corn, and moving to Sunday afternoon will allow their growers to attend the race in even greater numbers next year. Our IndyCar event has grown in popularity, year over year, and we expect next year’s race to continue that trend.”

The full 2013 IZOD IndyCar schedule was released on Sunday as well, and is available online at www.indycar.com. Supporting events for the Iowa Corn Indy 250 weekend, as well as the 2013 line-up of all support races and concerts at Iowa Speedway, will be announced as soon as details are finalized.
