• Kyle J. Greve, 19, of Newton was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Monday on a Jasper County warrant for an original charge of possession of marijuana. Greve was located at 515 E. 11th St. S. and was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Timothy C. Harsch, 37, of Newton was cited for having no proof of insurance and driving in an unsafe manner after he lost control of his vehicle at 12:12 p.m. Sept. 17 in the westbound lane of I-80 near mile marker 164, and struck the median cables. Harsch was not injured, but damage to his vehicle was estimated at $800, and damage to the cables was estimated at $2,000.

• Mellisa S. Thompson, 28, of Newton was charged with domestic assault serious when officers were called to 602 E. 27th St. S. at 5:10 a.m. Saturday. She was charged for allegedly scratching male victim, drawing blood on his neck and face, and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
