• Tammy G. Baxter, 27, of Newton was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (second offense) at 10:46 p.m. Friday after her vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of West Fourth Street North. Officers noted an odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. She registered a blood alcohol level of .118. She was released to appear.
