I was dog tired this morning, but I still have an ear-to-ear grin on my face. That’s because it became official this past weekend: I have the coolest job in the universe.

In a nutshell, I spent Thursday and Friday evenings covering Newton Senior High School Homecoming festivities, including the thrilling 28-27 football victory over South Tama. By the end of the game, however, I was starting to feel a slight twinge in my left foot.

It didn’t matter, though. Newton got the win over South Tama (did I mention I graduated from North Tama?). That was cool.
