William “Bud” Vonk, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, after a brief illness.

Inurnment will be in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Bud was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Sully Iowa. Bud worked at Onthank Body Shop for many years before moving to Texas. He lived several years in Fort Worth, then moved to Arlington in 1972. On Feb. 4, 1966, he was married to Judi Frisbie Meppelink.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother. Survivors: Wife, Judi; sons, Randy Vonk of Pella, Iowa, Dan Anthony of Minneapolis, Minn., and Kenny Meppelink of Grand Prairie; on brother; five sisters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter.
