Minnie R. Van Zante Miller, 86, of Newton died on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at her home in Park Centre in Newton.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the First United Methodist Church, 210 N. Second Ave. E. in Newton. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Park Centre Good Samaritan Fund. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or at the church on the morning of the funeral service. Memorials also may be mailed to the Wallace Family Funeral Home. If mailing, please add, Attn: Miller Family on the envelope.
