NHS announces Homecoming candidates

Newton Senior High School has announced the Homecoming King and Queen candidates for 2012. Queen candidates are, from left, Peyton Martin, Michelle Marquis, Kristin Samson, Amanda Richtsmeier, Kasey Dunifer, Kately McCarey, Kaylie Rhoads, Katelin Klyn, Katelyn Camp and Stevie Eggers (not pictured). King candidates are (front row, from left) Jacob Hill, Zachary Gifford, Ryan Jolivette, Peder Hopkins and Tim Stammeyer. Back row, from left: Austin Gotta, Lucas Norcross, Jesse Bates, Dakota Hills and Brad Rabedeaux. Coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, and the Homecoming parade through downtown Newton is set for 6 p.m. later that day. The Newton Cardinals will play the South Tama County Trojans in the Homecoming game beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.
