Revel in the sounds of smooth, exuberant rhythm and blues music this weekend at the 20th annual Bowlful of Blues set for Saturday and Sunday at the Fred Maytag Bowl in Maytag Park.
 

The blues festival is sponsored by the South Skunk Blues Society, a local non-profit organization “dedicated to preserving and cultivating blues music” by seeking out local performance opportunities for blues artists so the public may enjoy their hard work and talents, according to www.southskunkblues.org.
 

The event typically lasts just one day each year, but Craig Peterson, president of the SSBS, wanted to expand the musical fete into two days to commemorate its 20th anniversary.
