AMES (ISU) — Volleyball Magazine has ranked the Iowa State Cyclones No. 10 in its preseason poll, released Tuesday. The Cyclones were also ranked 10th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Preseason Poll, released earlier this month.

Three of Iowa State’s 2012 opponents were ranked ahead of the Cyclones: No. 2 Texas, No. 5 Nebraska and No. 9 Illinois. 

During their opening weekend, the Cyclones will play Florida State and Tennessee, ranked 14th and 16th, respectively. Other Iowa State foes receiving votes in the preseason poll were Kansas State and Northern Iowa.
