Aquagirls start season with thrilling victory
The Aquagirls couldn't have asked for a better start to their season.
The Newton-Colfax-Mingo-Pella swim team had its first meet on Monday, making a 100-mile road trip out to Marion for a dual against Linn-Mar, which placed eighth at last year's state meet.
The Aquagirls made it well worth the drive, hanging right with the Lions throughout and winning the last event for a dramatic 94-89 victory at the Coe College Natatorium.
