Thank you City Council, Park Board for new disc golf course at Woodland

To the editor:

Disc golf is a big deal to a lot of people here in Newton and in Iowa. The Newton Disc Golf League has 20 to 30 people show up and play every Thursday night, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

If you have never played, you should come out and give it a try. The investment to start plaing is minimal and then it is just great exercise and fun for the whole family. Iowa has the second-most courses in the United States with more than 550, second only to Texas, which has more than 600 disc golf courses.

Yes, an investment in Iowa Speedway is an investment in our community's future
Only state money should be used, because the whole state benefits from Iowa Speedway
