The beginning of another school year is upon us and we here at school are raring to go. I’m certain many students and parents are excited about the start of school as well.

Every school year arrives with its own prospects and challenges and this one is no different. What exactly does “back-to-school” mean for us locally this fall?

First, through the summer many of our teachers and administrators have continued to study ways to improve instruction and therefore student learning. The myth that teachers only work nine months of the year is absolutely not true. The past three months our educators have studied instructional methods or approaches in reading and literacy, math, bullying prevention and technology, just to name a few.
