• Diane E.L. Dammeier, 69, of Newton was cited with failure to yield while making a left turn after authorities responded to an accident at 10:23 a.m. Wednesday at First Avenue East and East 20th Street. Dammeier was traveling east on First Avenue and struck a westbound motorcycle — driven by Curtis J. Creps, 24, of Chelsey — as she was turning left onto East 20th Street. No one was injured. The motorcycle sustained an estimated $100 damage and Dammeier’s car an estimated $800 damage.
