Nearly 100 participate in Blake’s Race

The  inaugural running of Blake’s Race on Saturday, Aug. 4, included 75 runners participating in a challenging 5K run up the streets of Colfax and through the trails behind Lewis Park and 20 walkers and runners participating in the 1K Fun Run/Walk.

Both races finished at the Women’s Park, where many stayed to enjoy the music of Slipstream. The Overall winner of Blake’s Race was Canyon Kuhlman of Sully, who ran the course in 22 minutes and 54 seconds. Second place went to Colfax native David Hostetter with a time of 23 minutes and 21 seconds. Awards where given to the first place finishers in each age division, including the following:
