• Heather D. Rainey, 25, of Newton was stopped at 1000 E. 19th St. N. by a Newton Police Department officer at 7:30 p.m. Monday when the officer noticed Rainey’s vehicle was missing its front license plate. Rainey was asked for her driver’s license, registration and insurance but couldn’t provide her license, telling the officer that it was suspended. The officer checked her driving status and found Rainey to be suspended for non-payment of Iowa fines. She was charged with driving while license suspended, given a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance, was placed under arrest and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
