Thunder Nites wraps up successful inaugural year

Thunder Nites in Newton concluded its inaugural season with a final motorcycle rally on the downtown square Friday. Pictured, the Jasper County Courthouse and a line of bikes can be seen in the reflection of a Harley Davidson Roadster. Cassie Smith hangs with her three-legged biker dog Cuddles during a concert by Bob Dorr and The Blue Band. Friday’s 6 to 10 p.m. rally was the fourth motorcycle event on Newton’s square this summer. Thunder Nites organizers plan to continue the event next year.
