Debra DeAnn Petersen, the daughter of Ralph and Alverta (Miller) Dickson, was born April 4, 1956, in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from the Newton Senior High School with the class of 1975.

Deb had worked under the Extended Work Service Program at Progress Industries. She enjoyed reading Sunday School material; collecting Bibles; shopping; car rides; taking classes at Progress Industries; watching T.V.; spending time with her cat, “Lucky”; and owning her own home. She was a thoughtful person who would often send cards of encouragement to others.

Deb died on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was 56 years old. Deb was preceded in death by her parents.
