‘Lone Star’ auditions on Sunday

Auditions for “Lone Star” will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Newton Community Theatre.

The one-act comedy by James McLurethat and directed by Wanda Blount will be the NCT festival entry for the Iowa Community Theatre Festival. Those auditioning for the adult play must be available April 4-7 for the Iowa Community Theatre Festival at Newton Community Theatre, April 26-28 for the Region V Festival in Fargo, N.D., and June 17-23 for the National Festival in Carmel, Ind.

Parts available are available for three men, and practice will begin in December.
