Hollywood's back
Crew in Newton filming scenes for post-apocalyptic thriller
Hollywood has come back to Newton.
Following the filming of “Ticket Out” and “The Underground” a couple of years ago, and the demise of the film tax credits in Iowa, an independent filmmaker has found his way back to Newton to cut a few scenes for a post-apocalyptic thriller.
Writer/director Stephen Folker, along with his crew and actors were in Newton on Monday afternoon filming in three locations around Newton. Folker said the film is a thriller, based in a time following an unnamed disaster.
