Cyclones boast stable of potent running backs
AMES — Paul Rhoads laid out the Cyclones’ 2012 offensive philosophy clear and simple at the team’s media day last thursday:
“We have to establish who we are as an offense. We’re going to run the football,” he said. “We need to be a run-first football team and set the pass up with the run game.”
Most coaches say they want be a run-first team. But it takes talent to follow through on it.
