Wallace Jr. hoping to build on previous speedway success

In his previous visit to Iowa Speedway, Darrell Wallace Jr. experienced the whole spectrum of emotions for a driver during a race weekend.

After wrecking early in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series event on May 19, Wallace bounced back with an impressive ninth-place finish in his Nationwide Series debut the very next night. Racing that same schedule this weekend, Wallace is hoping for a little smoother ride this time around.

“I always enjoy coming to Iowa and I feel like I’m at home because everyone’s so welcoming there,” Wallace said. “It’s been good every time I’ve been there, so I’m definitely looking forward to going back. I enjoyed it last time, even if that wreck took a toll on my body for Sunday’s race.”
