Governors to stump
 for Romney in Newton

Surrogates for Rep. presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, will be stumping in Newton Thursday after a morning campaign stop in Davenport.

A representative for Romney’s Iowa campaign headquarters confirmed this morning in a phone interview that surrogates from the presumptive nominee would be making a stop at an unannounced location in Newton. The campaign spokesperson said the Romney camp would release the location of the stop later today or early Thursday.

The campaign also could not confirm which surrogates would be on the tour bus, but ABC News is reporting Jindal and McDonnell will be the representatives speaking with Newton supporters while Romney makes his first overseas trips of the campaign to the United Kingdom, Israel and Poland.
