Peters leads tight points race into
Saturday’s American Ethanol 200

If one needed convincing of how close this season’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has been through its first eight races this season, just talk to points leader Timothy Peters.

Despite not having a victory to his credit yet this season, Peters was able to move into the points lead last week thanks to yet another top-five finish. Seven different drivers have taken the checkered flag in the first eight races, and no time would be better for Peters to get his first win than this weekend’s American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway.

“It sure would be nice to get our first win up there in Iowa,” Peters said. “It’s short track racing but with a lot of speed, the fans are awesome, and our short track program is actually really good. We learned a lot of what to do and what not to do, and we’re definitely coming back with all chambers loaded and trying to leave the wrong things at home.”
