The Newton YMCA Sports Academy will be hosting Season II Baseball clinic to help children learn the basic fundamentals of the game.

Beginning Friday, the clinic will include six sessions of instruction on throwing, fielding, hitting, base running, pitching mechanics and catcher set up and footwork. The sessions will be July 13, 17, 19, 23, 25 and 26 at the Berg Elementary ballfield. Each session is from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $20 per child and is open to boys ages 7 and 8. Registrations can be made at the YMCA.
