Jasper County Museum hosting coffee time Saturday morning
The Jasper County Historical Museum host a coffee time from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the barn on the south side of the museum grounds.
Homemade coffee cake and coffee will be available for $1 each with free refills on the coffee. The doors to the steam engine shed also will be open for viewing of the exhibits in that shed. At 1 p.m., the museum will reopen for regular tours with the last tour beginning at 4 p.m.
The museum is located at 1700 S. 15th Ave. W. in Newton, on the frontage road east of the Interstate 80 and Highway 14 interchange. Coffee, coffee cake and conversation will be offered every second and fourth Saturday in July and August.
