We will come back to Newton

To the editor:

We want to congratulate the people, volunteers, and the City of Newton for their Fourth of July celebration. It was a fun event to go to, and the food vendors had good food and were reasonably priced.

We stopped at Dick Allen’s Minneapolis & Moline open house in the morning, then went to Newton and ate dinner, and then looked around the square. We saw the Minneapolis steam engine of the Jasper County Historical Society and followed it to its home.
