To the Editor:

Another Junior Golf program has come and gone at Westwood, and once again I want to express my thanks to Brad Sponseller, his staff, and his volunteers. When you get that many kids together in one place — each of them carrying a potential sword or lightsaber — the possibility for chaos (not to mention, injury!) is quite high. 

You would think that, at best, it would go about as smoothly as trying to herd cats. But that’s not how it goes. Not at all.  The patience, interest, and attention that Brad and his volunteers show each participant creates an environment where the kids really want to learn to play the game, and they want to play well.
