O.W.L.S. program on Wednesday
The Jasper County Conservation Board will host its monthly program for senior citizens — Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors — beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Jasper County Community Center.
Curtis Cable, Fish Iowa coordinator, will talk about the various fishing areas around Jasper County. The last half of the program will be about tying jigs used for fishing. Local seniors are invited to attend and make a jig of their own. Coffee and a treat will be served.
The O.W.L.S. program is a conservation program that encourages seniors to stay active and learn new things about our natural world. For more information, contact Curt Cable at (641) 792-9780 or curt.cable@gmail.com.
