Neighborhood dogs
Like most of America, and the world for that matter, my neighborhood is full of dogs. A rough count yields about 90 percent of the homes in my neighborhood as having dogs. No problem. They’re all well behaved, cared for, and loved.
My neighbors, the Moellers, have two dogs — a cute-as-a-booger Cairn Terrier (the Wizard of Oz dog), Chloe, and a brand new Golden Retriever fluff-puppy, Shay.
I was having breakfast downtown with a friend the other morning, when my phone rang. It was Jeff Moeller, all excited because the new puppy, Shay, was missing. He wanted me to help him look for it. Shay is his wife’s dog, and he would be in a heap of trouble if anything happened to the pup. I explained that I was having breakfast, but could help in about half an hour.
