Harvest Band performs Thursday during ‘Evenings at the Bowl’

The Newton Parks and Recreation “Evenings at the Bowl” summer concert series will continue at 7 p.m. Thursday with the Harvest Band performing at the Maytag Bowl.

The Harvest Band has had the pleasure to feature the same three core members for more than 25 years. The group includes Jim Robinson on drums/harmonica, Tom Robinson on guitars/keyboards and Mark “M.C.” on Bailey bass and as emcee extraordinaire. All three display distinctive vocal styles and have a wide range of musical material from classic rock, country, blues, reggae and originals. The band recently has been nominated for the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The concert is free and open to the public.
