July 14 American Ethanol 200 pre-race adds to fan experience in Newton

For the first time ever in Iowa Speedway’s history, drivers will not be walking across the stage as they are introduced during pre-race ceremonies for the American Ethanol 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race on Saturday, July 14. Instead, all drivers will be making a very special event entrance.

“The pace lap in the Chevy Silverado pickup truck is the only main thing that won’t change for this pre-race, making it one that all fans will remember,” said Doug Fritz, CEO of Iowa Speedway.

Also for the first time ever, there will be a “mini airshow” during the pre-race festivities for the fans in attendance. The Vanguard Squadron, from Sioux Falls, SD, and whose planes fly on 100 percent ethanol fuel, will scream across the sky for several minutes as they dazzle the fans in the stands with a show powered by American Ethanol.
