Minnie Loo Elizabeth (Swanson) Etter, 81, of Melcher, formerly of Newton, died Friday, June 29, 2012.
There will be a celebration of life service to honor her from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Amboy Grange on High Street in Kellogg, Iowa.
Minnie Loo was born May 28, 1931, in Cambridge, Iowa, to Earl and Sylvia Swanson. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Etter on Aug. 7, 1948, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She loved to dance and travel, and above all was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steve; sister, Marilyn Anderson; brother, Fred Swanson; and two grandsons.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Robert; sons, Tim (Dianna), Bob (Becky), Jim (Cindy) and Bill (Delinda); 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her brother, Don Swanson of Warsaw, Mo.
