Club Notes

The Golden Agers Club met at noon on Wednesday, June 20.

President Carmen Vander Leest greeted the members and guests. Bonnie Swalwell Eilert read the minutes taken in May. Major Margarett Mills had a fun birthday program and games were played.

The tables were decorated with birthday gala, and a tall white candle. Each member took a small candle from their cupcake and lit it using the white candle. The lights were then turned off and the group sang Happy Birthday in the glow of the candlelight.

Major Mills gave the devotions, and Swalwell Eilert reminded the members that the next meeting will be on July 18, with all in the community invited to attend the free luncheon and program.

Each person was given a lovely paper bag filled with birthday presents as they left the fellowship hall. The Golden Agers members thanks the Salvation Army for organizing these fun times.
