City offices closed for holiday

Several City of Newton services will be closed Wednesday in observance of Independence Day.
Newton City Hall, Newton Sanitary Landfill, Newton Public Library, Newton Parks & Recreation Office, Newton Public Works and the Newton police and fire department’s business offices will be closed Wednesday.

Westwood Golf Course will be open if weather permits, and Maytag Pool will be open but will close at 7 p.m. Dodd’s Trash Hauling & Recycling Inc. will collect Wednesday’s trash on Thursday and Thursday’s trash on Friday.
