Tigerhawk baseball cruises past Melcher-Dallas, 12-2
The Colfax-Mingo baseball team snapped a three-game skid on Tuesday, dominating Melcher-Dallas 12-2 in five innings on the road in non-conference action.
The Tigerhawks (12-11, 5-7 Heart of Iowa Conference) trailed 2-0 early before scoring three runs in the second inning and six in the third to seize control of the game. They totaled 12 hits and 10 RBIs.
Senior pitcher Camden Borts held the Saints to two hits in five innings, walking two batters and striking out five. Connor Hainer, Jake Alexander, Caleb Anderson, Justin Fisher and Borts each had two hits for Colfax-Mingo. Trent Pease and Fisher each had three RBIs.
